The Minnesota Anti-War Committee (AWC) is a Twin Cities-based peace group that organizes protest actions and educational events that oppose U.S. wars at home and abroad. The organization began in 1998 with an act of civil disobedience in protest of the war in Iraq. I am eternally grateful to the AWC for everything I have learned and the experiences I have had the opportunity to participate in since I joined the committee in 2007. We believe in peace through justice, and we stand in solidarity with oppressed people here and abroad.
