Misty Rowan is an artist and activist living in Minneapolis, MN. She is a storyteller who uses poetry, illustration, painting, and filmmaking to inspire action. Her work explores themes of community, connection, creation, and the restorative balance of natural systems. In 2012, she received a VERVE grant for spoken word poetry, and in 2022, earned a Bachelor of Art from the University of Minnesota. Misty is passionate about community-based art projects and teaching young people to explore their own artistic talents. She believes art is for everyone, and that everyone should have access to it.
